Credits
How Sazabi credits work — the rollover guarantee, one-time and automatic top-ups, the cycle spending limit, and running out.
Credits are the prepaid balance Sazabi draws down for token usage — the tokens the Sazabi agent consumes as it investigates. This page explains how the balance works. It covers behavior, not numbers; for current prices and grant amounts, see the pricing page and Settings > Billing.
Credits cover token usage only. Other metered usage is invoiced separately — see Pricing.
What credits are
Your organization has one credit balance. Paid plans grant credits when each billing cycle opens; token usage draws the balance down. You can see the balance and its history under Settings > Billing.
The rollover guarantee
Unused credits do not expire. They carry forward into future billing cycles. A cycle renewal, a plan upgrade, an automatic top-up, or a one-time purchase all add credits to whatever balance you already hold — no billing event reduces or forfeits credits you have been granted or bought.
Topping up
There are two ways to add credits beyond your plan's cycle grant:
- One-time top-up — buy a block of credits immediately. Use this for a one-off spike in usage.
- Automatic top-up — set a threshold so Sazabi buys more credits when your balance falls below it. Use this to avoid running out during ongoing usage.
Configure both under Settings > Billing. Credits are added only after payment is confirmed.
The cycle spending limit
Automatic top-up is bounded by a cycle spending limit: the most Sazabi will automatically spend on top-ups within one billing cycle. Once automatic top-ups reach the limit, they stop for the rest of the cycle even if the balance falls below the trigger. The limit resets when the next cycle opens. Set it under Settings > Billing.
Running out
Token usage is admitted while your balance is positive. Because a running job is never killed mid-flight, work already admitted finishes and debits in full, so the balance can go slightly negative. While the balance is at or below zero, Sazabi stops admitting new token usage until you top up — log ingestion and other non-token work continue under your subscription. Add credits (or enable automatic top-up) to resume token usage.
